Grant Writer Bill: White Plains hires first grant writer coordinator. Already has brought millions of dollars into city coffers without city taxpayer dollars.
Apprenticeship Bill: Pertaining to city government projects; with the help of labor, can provide an option for young people to learn a trade.
Bark Park: Co-founder of city's first dog park.
Juneteenth Heritage Parade and Festival: Co-founder of White Plains first African-American citywide parade.
Flag Day: Founder of city's first official celebration of "Old Glory", involved White Plains public and private school participation.
Safe Housing Task Force: Co-founder of city's police, fire and building departments in a collaborative effort to investigate over crowded housing.
Resolution to Close Westchester County Government Homeless Shelter at 85 Court Street: Together with the Mayor this resolution successfully led the way to close a shelter where sex offenders were housed within walking distance of schools, an entertainment center and business area.
YMCA Housing Initiative: in collaboration with several trade unions of the Westchester/Putnam Central Labor Council, 167 apartments for men at the White Plains YMCA were renovated at no cost to taxpayers or members.
Dominican Republic Relief Mission: Due to the multiple hurricanes and earthquakes that ravaged the Dominican Republic, Glen with the generosity of Aries Wine & Spirits warehouse in White Plains collected from many Westchester citizens, supplies and food which ulttimately filled 6 containers which were sent to the people of the Dominican Republic.
